Elena Ho is a Singaporean Motion Graphics Designer and Art Director with 12 years of experience in Film and Television. Until 2012, she had been the Head of Design at the region’s leading post-production facility, Blackmagic Design in Singapore.
In her career, she has collaborated with renowned creatives and directors on TV commercials, and been part of the teams behind award-winning brands and campaigns: such as those for Hp, Sony Ericsson, Nokia, Levis, Canon, HP, Axe, and RSAF. Other projects include MDA’s collaboration with Stefan Sagmeister for his project, Keeping A Diary Supports Personal Development. As well as on documentaries and feature films, such as “Twittamentary” and “Bait 3D”.
Elena’s creative philosophy is simply about the effective communication of aesthetically-informed content. Whatever the medium or format, she believes that the most important thing should always be about engaging your audience. She approaches her projects with a coherent and directed point of view, focusing on creating a visual narrative that can be succinctly communicated.
Having been in post-production for most of her career, she works well under pressure, and is able to provide creative solutions quickly in difficult and unexpected situations. She has the experience in leading and managing both internal resources as well as external vendors, maintaining work flows, client presentations, approval processes and schedules. As well as being able to work as successfully on independent projects.
She currently works on a freelance basis.
