For a couple of weekends this year, I’ve been helping a friend Tan Siok Siok with her film, Twittamentary – a documentary about Twitter and how social media has one way or another, changed our lives.
What is interesting about this whole process so far, is everything has been crowd-sourced. From the stories, locations, funding and to the people involved. With the help of fellow twitterers, she travelled and filmed cross-country across the States last year to from New York to the 140 Character Conference in Los Angeles. The project is currently in post-production. She’s has held work-in-progress Alpha and Beta screenings in Singapore and Hong Kong and response to the film has been incredible.
This evening I caught up with @sioksiok as she is back in Singapore for a break from her real-reel life in Beijing. And she brought me some cool Twittamentary merchandise (that I designed for her film)! I’m so loving the button badges!
